About Share Tanzania
Share Tanzania was born when founder John St Julien heeded a spiritual calling to Tanzania in 2013. Initially caring for child laborers, the mission quickly evolved as he adopted an orphaned child and created a children’s home in 2014.
Now the organization provides full-time care for both special‑needs and able-bodied children, all living in purpose-built eco‑homes staffed by devoted volunteers and caregivers.
Their vision goes further than shelter: it’s a sanctuary offering therapy, education, medical care, and a secure community for children often ignored or stigmatized.

The heart of Share Tanzania’s philosophy lies in “sharing” not just resources, but time, love, and opportunity.
A Day in the Life at Share Tanzania
Each day begins with nurturing care, meals, and engaged learning. Children receive physiotherapy, occupational therapy, art and music therapies, all tailored to their unique needs. Local street‑involved youth are welcomed, to find refuge, counseling, and a path toward education and healing.
Festivals like Christmas fill the village with celebration. Shared meals, gifts, and excursions solidify bonds across the community. The presence of rescue dogs from the animal rescue adds warmth and emotional support. Many children benefit from animal‑assisted therapy alongside their daily routines
